Install on macOS
Install the Roomler agent on macOS, grant the two privacy permissions it needs, and add the root half if you want the machine on the private mesh.
Get startedCodecs and performance
Which video codecs and hardware encoders Roomler uses on Windows, macOS and Linux — and what to change when a remote session feels slow.
Remote desktopPer-OS permissions
What Windows, macOS and Linux each require before screen capture and input injection work — and why a missing grant usually produces silence, not an error.
Remote desktopSSH without sshd
Get a real shell on any enrolled machine by its mesh address — with no sshd installed, no port bound and no firewall rule, on Linux, macOS and Windows.
Private networkThe agent
What roomlerd actually is, why it is a single process rather than several, how it runs on each OS, and how it keeps itself updated safely.
ArchitectureBlack screen or wallpaper only
The session connects and shows nothing — almost always a capture permission or a display-session problem, and almost never a network one.
TroubleshootingInstall problems
The installer fails, antivirus blocks it, or the machine never appears afterwards — per-OS causes and the fixes that actually work.
TroubleshootingPlatform support
What Roomler does on Windows, Linux and macOS, feature by feature, and the reason wherever an operating system cannot do something.
